Our Knee on Trac device uses computerized technology to gently decompress your knee joint, creating the ideal environment for natural healing.
The Knee on Trac device creates a gentle pulling force that increases joint space significantly.
The increased space allows oxygen, nutrients, and synovial fluid to flow into the joint.
These nutrients nourish cartilage and reduce inflammation, allowing natural healing to occur.
As inflammation decreases and healing progresses, pain and stiffness diminish.
See how the Knee on Trac system offers safe and effective mechanical traction to decrease pain, rehydrate tissues, increase range of motion and speed up the healing process — a revolutionary non-invasive solution for chronic knee pain.
In a randomized trial of 120 patients, adding mechanical knee traction to conventional physiotherapy produced greater reductions in pain and greater improvement in functionthan conventional physiotherapy alone — though not in passive range of motion.

Before I discovered the Gibson Center, I could barely walk. I was spending a lot of time in bed. My knees were in so much pain - I was at a 10 level. Now my pain level is pretty much non-existent and I've been walking four to six miles a day, which is a relief because I'm no longer confined to my bed with pain.

"My passion goes beyond just relieving pain—I'm dedicated to helping people maintain energy, mobility, and quality of life as they age. True wellness comes from investing in your health proactively, rather than managing decline later."
- Dr. Jean Gibson
At The Gibson Center, Dr. Gibson's approach treats the whole person, not just symptoms. She believes that proper care of your body's foundation—including your knees—contributes to longevity and maintaining vibrant energy throughout life.
Her philosophy centers on three vital elements of healthy aging: pain-free mobility, balanced body mechanics, and overall wellness. By addressing these core aspects, patients experience not only relief from immediate pain but improved quality of life.
Dr. Gibson firmly believes that preventative care is both more effective and less costly than managing health decline. Her approach helps patients:
Your first visit takes approximately 45 minutes and includes these five steps
We'll discuss your knee pain history, previous treatments, and your goals for mobility and pain relief.
Dr. Gibson will evaluate your knee mobility, strength, and examine your feet to identify any contributing factors. The examination will include a 3D scan of your feet to identify imbalances that could contribute to knee pain.
You'll be introduced to our Knee on Trac device, and we'll explain exactly how the therapy works for your condition.
Experience your first therapeutic treatment using our cold laser to reduce inflammation and begin the healing process.
Dr. Gibson will discuss your results and explain what a full therapy program would look like for your specific condition. She'll answer all your questions about the process, timeline, and investment. Most patients feel noticeable improvement after the first treatment and are excited to continue.

Cortisone injections and anti-inflammatory drugs treat the pain rather than the joint. Published research has raised concerns that, used repeatedly or long term, both may work against the cartilage itself.
In a two-year randomized trial, patients given a steroid injection every three months lost significantly more knee cartilage than those given saline, with no difference in pain relief between the groups.

Several NSAIDs suppress the proteoglycan synthesis cartilage depends on to repair and cushion itself, at the concentrations reached in joint fluid. The effect differs by drug — it is seen with less COX-2-selective agents rather than across the whole class.
