How ProBalance360 Works

Your balance depends on three systems: vision, vestibular (inner ear), and proprioception (body position awareness). ProBalance360 retrains all three simultaneously while adding cognitive challenges.

Dual-Task Training

Balance exercises combined with cognitive tasks (counting, word games, decision-making) – just like real life demands.

Progressive Difficulty

The system adapts to your level and gradually increases challenge as you improve.

Neuroplasticity Activation

Your brain creates new neural pathways to improve balance control – changes that last.

Measurable Results

Objective data tracking shows your improvement over time – not just subjective feelings.

Are You a Candidate?

You may benefit from ProBalance360 if you:

  • Feel unsteady when walking or standing
  • Have fallen or are afraid of falling
  • Hold onto furniture or walls for support
  • Feel dizzy when you stand up
  • Struggle with balance on uneven surfaces
  • Want to maintain independence and avoid falls

ProBalance360 is safe for most adults, including those in their 70s, 80s, and beyond. The program adapts to your current ability level and progresses at your pace. Both have value, but if physical therapy didn't solve your balance issues, ProBalance360's unique approach may be what you need.

Why Dual-Task Training Works

Falls rarely happen when you're standing still and concentrating on your balance. They happen when you're carrying groceries, turning to answer someone, or navigating an unfamiliar surface while thinking about something else. Traditional balance exercises train your body in isolation, but ProBalance360 trains your brain and body together — the way they actually need to work in daily life.

Research published in the Cochrane Database shows that exercise programs reducing fall risk by 23% are most effective when they include dual-task cognitive challenges. The neuroplasticity changes from this approach are lasting — your brain literally builds new neural pathways that make balance reactions faster and more automatic.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is balance therapy safe for older adults?

Yes. ProBalance360 is designed specifically for older adults and is conducted in a safe, supervised environment. You’ll work at your own pace with support and safety measures in place. Many of our patients are in their 60s, 70s, and 80s.

What if I use a walker or cane?

You can still benefit from ProBalance360. We work with patients at all mobility levels and adapt the training to your current abilities. The goal is to improve whatever balance capacity you have.

How is this different from balance exercises my doctor gave me?

ProBalance360 adds cognitive challenges to balance training – forcing your brain and body to work together simultaneously. Research shows this dual-task approach is more effective than single-task exercises for real-world balance improvement.

Will insurance cover this?

Coverage varies by insurance plan. Many patients choose to pay out-of-pocket because the treatment is affordable and the alternative (falling and potential hospitalization) is much more costly. We accept HSA/FSA cards.

How long do results last?

Many patients maintain improved balance for months or years after completing treatment. The neuroplasticity changes can be long-lasting. Dr. Gibson will also give you a home maintenance program to continue on your own.

What if I’ve already fallen?

Many of our patients come to us after experiencing falls. ProBalance360 can help rebuild your confidence and improve your balance to reduce future fall risk. The sooner you address balance issues, the better the outcomes.
